Polyester POY & FDY prices dip in China's domestic market

Paraxylene (PX) prices dropped in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1345/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices moved down and were assessed at US$ 1325/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1375/ton to US$ 1380/ton.

PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 955/ton to US$ 960/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices plunged and were offered at US$ 955/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 965/ton to US$ 970/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices decreased and were quoted in the range of RMB 6775/ton to RMB 6825/ton.

Ethylene prices remained stable in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained steady in the range of US$ 1485/ton to US$ 1490/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices surged and were quoted at US$ 1480/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted in the range of 56.50 cents/pound to 57.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices were stable in the European international as well as in the domestic market and were offered at US$ 1350/ton and € 1010/ton, respectively.

MEG prices inched up in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG price rose and were assessed at US$ 1002/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 985/ton to US$ 990/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices went up and were offered in the range of RMB 7310/ton to RMB 7360/ton.

In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton. Some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were steady in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1390/ton, while talked prices were quoted between US$ 1340/ton and US$ 1370/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices dropped and were assessed at RMB 9000/ton.

In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices were stable in the range of RMB 9000/ton to RMB 9050/ton.

PSF prices increased in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$1520/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1420/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices fell and were quoted in the range of RMB 9740/ton to RMB 9790/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY and FDY prices declined and were quoted at RMB 9650/ton and RMB 10350/ton, respectively, while DTY prices remained stable at RMB 11500/ton. In export market, POY, DTY, and FDY prices remained steady and were offered at US$ 1365/ton, US$ 1610/ton, and US$ 1450/ton, respectively.
