MFSHOW Women begins today in Madrid

As soon as Spain’s sole male fashion showcase MFShow Men wrapped up successfully last month, the city of Madrid started prepping up for its womenswear version MFSHOW Women.

Starting from today, the event will host catwalk shows by eight leading brands in three new venues—The College of Architects of Madrid (COAM), Botanical Garden and the Museum of Decorative Arts.

Scheduled to run through February 13, 2014, the latest three-day long edition of the soiree will be opened by popular designer label Nicholas & Atienza’s Fall/Winter 2014-2015 collection.

Outerwear brand La Condesa, from designer Marina Conde, will feature a mixed range of clothing and accessories. Along with its trademark military and ‘Rock n Roll’ inspired jackets and iconic pieces, the line will also include scarves and bags.

Clothing label The 2nd Skin Co will showcase its delicate fabric made Red Candy line at the event. Based on a rich deep palette of regal red, the ensembles will present hand painted and embroidered floral patterns.

Other than staging runway shows from names like The Countess, Marcos Luengo, Aurelia Gil & Yono Taola, Poe, Opel ADAM and Jorge Vazquez, the Seagram’s Gin MFSHOW WOMEN will also host panel discussions and roundtable conferences on topics ranging from 'Entrepreneurship in Fashion' to 'Working in Fashion'.
