Ethylene prices fall in European domestic market

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices decreased and were offered in the range of US$ 1300/ton to US$ 1305/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 1280/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1310/ton to US$ 1315/ton.

PTA prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices stayed stable in the range of US$ 950/ton to US$ 955/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices remained steady and were quoted at US$ 950/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 945/ton to US$ 950/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 6550/ton to RMB 6600/ton.

Ethylene prices maintained steady trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were steady in the range off US$ 1385/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept unchanged and were quoted at US$ 1400/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined and were quoted in the range of 50.50 cents/pound to 51.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept unchanged in the European international market at US$ 1215/ton, but declined in European domestic market to € 940/ton.

MEG prices dropped in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG price declined and was quoted at US$ 950/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices fell and were assessed in the range of US$ 965/ton to US$ 970/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices decreased and were assessed in the range of RMB 6857/ton to RMB 6925/ton.

In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips were stable in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were quoted in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were quoted between US$ 1330/ton and US$ 1360/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices decreased and were quoted in the range of RMB 8650/ton to RMB 8700/ton.

In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1150/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were offered in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1250/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 8500/ton to RMB 8550/ton.

PSF prices remained unchanged in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1515/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1415/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices decreased and were assessed in the range of RMB 9475/ton to RMB 9500/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY declined to RMB 9450/ton and RMB 10050/ton, while DTY prices stayed steady at RMB 11350/ton. In the export market, offers for POY, FDY and DTY kept unchanged at US$ 1315/ton, US$ 1390/ton and US$ 1585/ton, respectively.
