Donatella Versace, the internationally famed fashion designer, once again showcased the fine quality of inimitable Italian craftsmanship at her label Versace’s latest Milan Fashion Week showcase.

With a liberal use of skin revealing bias cuts and military-inspired embellishments, the talented design veteran based her Autumn/Winter 2014-2015 collection on two primary shades—bright red and petrol blue. The pieces included taut jackets with embroidered sleeves, pantsuits, military buttoned mink coats, latticed micro-sheath dresses with fringes and long sweeping evening gowns.

An elegant lady or a modern day princess attending a ball played as the source of inspiration behind designer Luisa Beccaria’s latest creations. Replete with an abundance of fluffy ruffles and sweetheart necklines, the collection included flowered Mikado silk gowns, soft flouncy skirts, knee-length cocktail dresses, and organza, lace and satin made camisoles in romantic hues of ivory, gold, blush pink, light grey, silver, royal blue and purple.

Al momento, the catwalk collection showcased by the Italian fashion house Armani’s sub-label Armani Emporio, was all about gender-bender outfits. Mixing menswear and womenswear elements, the line was based on monochromes of black and white with occasional accents of turquoise. The ensembles included tailored straight cut suits, pearl studded pinstripe pants, silvery fur capes and oversize bowler hats.
