Elizabeth Lee Miller plays muse for Roberto Cavalli

Late American fashion model-turned-photographer Elizabeth Lee Miller played as the muse behind Florentine fashion designer Roberto Cavallis’ catwalk show, staged on the fourth day of Milan Fashion Week.

Infused with 1920-esque looks, the Autumn/Winter 2014 collection featured gigantic fox collared tweed coats, flapper-style drop-waist dresses and elegant evening gowns decorated with beaded Art Deco columns.

The German designer Jil Sander’s brand’s design team dedicated the latest collection to their eponymous founder, who had left the label on October, 2013. Replete with Sander’s signature tailoring and minimalist looks, the line showcased textured cashmere knitwear, bias cut sleeveless shifts, woollen overcoats with needle-punched parallel black chiffon like lines and coats in chalky hues of pink, jade and lettuce-green.

Peter Dundas, the Norwegian designer and the creative head of Italian fashion house Emilio Pucci, took inspiration from the dressing styles of the Arctic region inhabitants for his latest creations. The pieces included chunky fringed sweaters, black jerseys with leather whipstitches, gold-thread ikat patterned chiffon gowns, massive fur hooded outerwear numbers, pony-hair parkas and Appaloosa horse printed minidresses.

Italian luxury goods company Salvatore Ferragamo designer Massimiliano Giornetti kicked off his show on the fifth day of the event with a high-collared plaid blanket cape. Accentuated with needle-punched jacquards and metallic leather pleats, the collection included animal pattern-hemmed black wrap coats, fitted ribbed-knit dresses and leather-piped sleeveless black cashmere wrap dresses.
