In honour of the 472nd anniversary of the Mexican state of Jalisco’s capital city, Guadalajara, the Casa Museo Lopez Portillo is hosting an exhibit featuring ten period costumes designed by the famous wedding fashion designer Alberto Rodriguez.

Titled as Moda de Leyenda (Fashion Legend), the featured outfits are being sourced from the designer’s 40-piece apparel collection, depicting Guadalajara city’s 19th and 20th  century fashions, created for the movie ‘Leyendas del Panteón de Belén’, which translates to ‘Legends of the Panteon de Belen’.

Mainly made using varieties of soft shimmering silks and classic taffetas, the display, which will be open till April, 26, 2014, includes an array of luxe printed dresses that are meant to be worn as morning, afternoon and evening wears.

Alberto Rodriguez has been designing romanticism-inspired lavish gowns and dresses for Alta Moda, Miss Mexico, Miss Universe and Fashion Week Mexico participants since the year 1986.
