Olga Kurylenko to don Red Carpet Green Dress at Oscars

Olga Kurylenko, the award-winning French actress who starred in the 2008 James Bond blockbuster ‘Quantum of Solace’, will be donning the fifth ‘Red Carpet Green Dress’ at the forthcoming 86th Academy Awards, scheduled to take place on March 2, 2014.

The gorgeous 34-year-old will wear a stunning eco-friendly gown designed by the Bordeaux-born French-Lebanese fashion student Alice Elia for the fifth edition of Red Carpet Green Dress design challenge.

On Olga’s selection for sporting the winning ensemble, the green dress campaign director Samata Angel said, “Celebrating five years of sustainable gowns on the red carpet requires a show stopping woman and Olga is the perfect choice. We are extremely excited to have Alice Elia on board with her incredible design.”

Olga also expressed her feelings, “What a privilege it will be to wear Alice’s gorgeous design on the red carpet for the campaign’s fifth year. It’s a great honor to have been asked.”

Other than Olga, ‘Twilight Saga’ film series star Kellan Lutz will also be the first-ever male to walk in Red Carpet Green Dress challenge’s maiden tuxedo suit at the Oscars ceremony.

A student of ESMOD, Paris, Alice Elia is currently pursuing a course in Fashion Design and Creation with a specialization in Couture For Women. The designer also has trained under the world-renowned Lebanese couturier Elli Saab.

Started by environmental advocate Suzy Amis Cameron, wife of famous film director James Cameron, the Red Carpet Green Dress is an international dress design competition which invites designers from across the world to create an Oscar worthy sustainable dress.

Actresses Missi Pyle and Naomie Harris had both attended the 84th and 85th Oscar ceremonies in Red Carpet Green Dress winning gowns.
