The must-attend event for the textile industry, Première Vision and Expofil constitute the perfect, privileged spot for all international industry players to meet and find inspiration.

The world's premier fabric show once again demonstrated its leadership by creating ever more synergies and interactions for spring summer 15 between weavers and fashion brands and designers.

For autumn winter 15/16, alongside Première Vision and in the heart of innovation, Expofil, the yarns and fibres show, also helped further the meetings and collaborations that lie at the heart of textile creativity.

International and high-quality visitors in attendance
The 740 exhibitors at Première Vision – 701 weavers, 20 knitters and spinners (Knitwear Solutions), and 19 workshops and craftsmen (Maison d’Exceptions) – and the 40 spinners and fibre producers at Expofil, each rigorously selected, welcomed some 51,854 visitors hungry for new products and discoveries at Villepinte.

Whether newcomers or loyal visitors, they were all among the most important players in the sector: high-end or mass distribution brands, designers or luxury houses, "they came in great numbers from around the world, and they were very busy in the Première Vision aisles," pointed out Italian weaver Botto Giuseppe.

The optimism was equally sensed at Expofil. For Italian spinner Pozzi Electa, the show is like a "second office." It welcomed "the top professionals in the industry. Potential clients and many regular clients, all on the lookout for the latest news and coming from across the world, which obliges each exhibitor to update their collection seasonally, and present an ever broader and more innovative offer."

With a remarkable increase of 17%, attendance at Première Vision Expofil is also mainly international – representing nearly 75% of visitors (+19%). "All the major international markets are here," could be heard over the course of three days of intense activity.

Among the most active markets, there was notably an increase in European visitors (+16%) who, in spite of a still fragile economy, were both quite present and active. France (+11%), the U.K. (+12%), Germany (+5%), Spain (+15%), and especially, in the lead, Italy (+44%), these European visitors are among the most demanding in terms of creativity and the quality of the collections they are seeking.

For its part, Asia - Japan, South Korea and China in particular - representing 9% of Première Vision Expofil visitors, saw attendees increase by 23%. This strong boost is explained by the return of Chinese visitors, whose numbers had fallen in February 2013 due to their New Year. Likewise, Brazilians (+23%) also attended in significant numbers, traffic hampered a year ago by Carnival celebrations.
