The Colombian city of Medellin is all geared up to host the 25th edition of one of the most important trade fairs for the Colombian apparel sector, the Colombiamoda fair, which is scheduled to be held from July 22 to 24, 2014.

Organized by the Institute for Export and Fashion of Colombia (INEXMODA), the fair, which is held concurrently with Textiles 2 and the Fashion for the World fairs, gathers more than 1,780 international buyers from 50 different countries.

Considered to be Colombia’s Fashion Week, the Colombiamoda fair is the most important trade platform in Latin America, where leading domestic and international apparel manufacturers, distributors, and designers present their latest collection to more than 65,000 visitors who attend the show.

The fair is held with the objective of providing exhibitors an opportunity to expand their portfolio of customers as well as strengthen ties with existing ones, understand the latest trends and get to know about latest products and resources, and create networks and relationships with international suppliers.

During the three-day event, the Textiles 2 as well as the Fashion for the World fair would be held concurrently where 70 textile enterprises and 80 clothing firms would be presenting their latest apparel products, respectively.

The exhibition would have several gateway shows where world renowned designers would be showcasing their latest collections, and parallel to the event, various seminars and conferences would also be held where apparel manufacturers would get the opportunity to interact with international buyers and exchange information.
