The Kyrgyz participation in the exhibition was under the aegis of the ‘Promotion of Trade in Kyrgyz Republic’ program of the International Trade Center (ITC) with the aim of promoting and developing trade in the country by showcasing Kyrgyz products at the fair.
The ITC program ‘Promotion of trade in Kyrgyz Republic’ is an initiative undertaken by ITC with support from Kyrgyz Government to assist in the expansion and diversification of exports of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the textile and garment industry of Kyrgyzstan, with the aim of increasing their competitiveness and improving the quality of infrastructure of such enterprises in the country.
The International Istanbul Yarn Fair is touted as the largest specialized event for yarn in Turkey and Eurasia, where exhibitors present a wide variety of products ranging from organic cotton to eco-friendly products as well as latest advances in synthetic yarn.
Scheduled to run till March 29, 2014, the four-day fair gathers more than 39,000 visitors from 71 countries including Eastern European nations, CIS countries and Middle Eastern nations. Around 223 domestic and international firms are showcasing their latest products at the expo.
Exhibitors at the fair are presenting various products including cotton yarns, elastane yarns, wool yarns, viscose yarns, acrylic yarns, polyester yarns, linen yarns, technical yarns, nylon yarns, embroidery yarns and more.
