Galleria Intima returns from Aug 18 in Goa

Organized by the Intimate Apparel Association of India, the 3rd edition of the Galleria Intima to be held on August 18 and 19, 2014, continues to be a show that every industry professional whether manufacturer, brand buyer, retailer or designer, should aspire to attend.

Last year, the gathering saw 300+ visiting brands and this year, the 3rd edition of this monumental event promises to get even bigger as the organizers expect more then 600+ brands to visit the show this year. With 20000+ square feet of exhibition space, over 75+ exhibitors and estimated transactions of over 4 billion rupees worth of business, this fair is sure to be a precursor for the industry in India in the coming year.

However, the grandeur of the event is spelt not just in sheer numbers, but also indicated by the bigwigs that grace this occasion and who set the tone not just for the 2-day fair but also for what the industry portends in the coming months. Last year, the event was attended by a laudable 1200 visitors, out of which 300 were intimate apparel brands from India.

Many prominent buying houses from India and abroad were also seen at the show. Global giants in the intimate apparel business, such as LYCRA, Chanty Laces, Carvico, Forster Rohner, Lenzing, Noyon Laces, Stretchline, Prym Intimate, Silueta, Lectra, Morgan Technica, Tuka Tech, Trischel, Alok Industries and many more, showcased their merchandise last year and this year too, many more such brands should be watched out for, that will catapult this fair from an important national industry event to a significant global happening.

Eminent Indian industry insiders were also left deeply impressed with the show last year and look forward to August, 2014 with heightened anticipation and optimism.
