Amish people inspire 2nd Floor's catwalk at Fashion Rio

Amish, the conservative practitioners of Christianity in the US and Canada, played as the source of inspiration for the 2nd Floor clothing brand’s designer Adriana Bozon’s latest catwalk parade staged on the final day of Fashion Rio.

Using materials like denim and neoprene, the 30-piece structured range was decorated with pretty floral prints and gorgeous colour combinations in blue, green, red, pink, coral and burgundy.

Beachwear label Triya showcased a 40-piece collection on the same day of the Brazilian fashion fest. Adorned with psychedelic geometric prints, the lime green, fuchsia and orange coloured summer-2015 line featured bikinis, one-piece swimsuits, tank tops and frilly hot pants.

Renata Salles and Marcela Calmon, the joint creative directors of Filhas de Gaia brand, presented a line made from exquisite materials like silk yarn, nylon, linen, duchess satin, leather, knits, velvet and silk muslin. Based on a palette of black, white, dark blue, gray and wine, the featured line’s standout ensembles were butterfly printed short dresses and cocoon shaped chemises.

Celebrity favourite famous Brazilian swimwear designer Lenny Niemeyer wrapped up the four-day-long Latin American sartorial event with an exciting range of bathing suits. Replete with clean cut simple lines, the earthy hued strappy one and two pieces were enhanced with prints of blooming flowers.
