Asian benzene prices up from higher upstream energy trends

Higher upstream energy prices led to a rise in Asian benzene prices yesterday.

In Korea, prices were assessed at US$ 1350/ton yesterday, higher by US$ 15/ton as compared to closing prices of last week.

In Japan, prices were spotted at US$ 1355/ton on Monday as compared to US$ 1340/ton seen at end of last week.

In India, prices were at US$ 1360/ton yesterday, up by US$ 15/ton compared with those at end of last week.

JX Nippon Oil and Energy is reported to have settled its August benzene contract price for Asia at US$ 1390/ton CFR Asia, lower by US$ 40/ton as compared to that of July.
