VSF prices marginally up in Chinese market last week

In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Cotton Linter were assessed at RMB 2750/ton during the last week ending August 15, 2014, which were unchanged from the previous week ending August 8. In the last updates from market, offer prices were in the range of RMB 2800/ton to RMB 3000/ton. Trading prices were between RMB 2700/ton and RMB 2900/ton.

Prices of Dissolving Pulp were spotted at RMB 6115/ton in the last week, which were almost steady from the previous week. Prices of imported Dissolving Wood Pulp were quoted in the range of US$ 830/ton to US$ 835/ton. Prices of Pulp imported from the US and Europe were in the range of US$ 850/ton to US$ 870/ton and US$ 840ton to 860/ton, respectively, while those from Canada were in the range of US$ 770/ton to US$ 820/ton. Prices of Pulp imported from Sweden were between US$ 830/ton and US$ 850/ton.

VSF prices were spotted at RMB 11900/ton in the last week, which were marginally up from the previous week. At the beginning of the week, VSF market opened at RMB 11900/ton, and prices stayed at the same level during the week. In the Chinese market, offers for imported VSF were witnessed in the range of US$ 1.59/kg to US$ 1.63/kg. Market analysts expect VSF prices to show stable trend in the upcoming days.

In the last week, VFY market was stable to firm and prices hovered around RMB 34650/ton. VFY market sentiments were optimistic amid firm demand from the downstream market during the week. VFY producers kept offers in the range of RMB 34600/ton to RMB 34660/ton. In the Chinese market, offers for imported VFY declined in the range of US$ 5500/ton to US$ 5600/ton.
