European ACN prices touch 28-month highs

In the European market, Acrlyonitrile (ACN) prices rose to 28-month highs, but remained flat in the US market this week.
US ACN prices were offered in the range of US$ 1895/ton to US$ 1900/ton, steady from the previous week, due to mute buying sentiments.
However, ACN prices went up in Europe, on account of limited product availability, increased demand and price gains in Asian market.
In Europe, ACN prices rose by 2.5 percent compared to the previous week and went up by US$ 50/ton and were offered in the range of US$ 2045/ton to US$ 2050/ton.
This was the highest recorded European ACN price in the past 28 months.
US ACN prices were offered in the range of US$ 1895/ton to US$ 1900/ton, steady from the previous week, due to mute buying sentiments.
