Week sees mixed reaction in US & European ethylene trends

Average ethylene prices went down in European market, while they rose in the US this week, when compared with the previous week ending August 15, due to weaker feed stock prices.
European selling offers of ethylene lowered by US$ 20/ton or 1.54% this week and were assessed in the range of US$ 1275/ton to US$ 1280/ton.
In USA market, ethylene prices rose by 0.50% this week, due to firm energy market and were quoted in the range of 66.50 cents/pound to 67.00 cents/pound.
