Benzene up marginally in Europe, down in US yesterday

Benzene prices went up slightly in Europe yesterday, while they went down in US.
Prices which were quoted at US$ 1370/ton in Europe on Wednesday went up marginally by US$ 5/ton to US$ 1375/ton yesterday (Aug 28).
Prices climbed up due to improved downstream buying sentiments in the region. However, downstream product prices were still lower.
In US, prices were lower on Thursday as compared to its previous day. Benzene prices were spotted at 455-460 cents/gallon yesterday, as compared to 465-470/ton on Wednesday.
