Hue Phong Company workers protests against labour violations at workplace

Footwear company Hue Phong Company based at Taiwan HCMC, have faces thousands wokersprotests against labour violations at company's workplace, destroying equipment and facilities.
Nearly 60 percent of Hue Phong Company's workforce of ten thousand, damaged the factory located in the outlying district of Go Vap June 4 causing damages of millions of US dollars.
The workers protest against so-called physical exploitation, long working hours, bad meals and lower wages, according to Mai Duc Chinh, deputy president of Ho Chi Minh's Labor Federation.
Workers informed that they have to work for 13 hour in shifts, with only one-day holiday in a month. At a meeting, The company met local agencies admitted these wrongdoings and promised to make an official apology and deal with proposals of workers in line with Vietnamese laws.
