Asian benzene trends down from weak upstream value

Benzene prices declined this week from its previous week, because of weaker upstream energy value coupled with unfavorable market fundamentals.

In Korean market, benzene prices went down by 2.83% and were assessed in the range of US$ 1205/ton to US$ 1210/ton in the week ending Sept 12 when compared to US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1250/ton in the previous week ending Sept 6.

In Japan, benzene prices fell by 2.82% and were quoted in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1215/ton this week against US$ 1255/ton to US$ 1260/ton in its previous week.

In Indian market, prices too decreased by 2.81% and were offered in the range of US$ 1215/ton to US$ 1220/ton last week vis-à-vis US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1265/ton in week ending Sept 6.
