PTA, MEG & PSF prices drop in Southeast Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices went up in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1245ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices inched up and were quoted at US$ 1225/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market decreased and were offered in the range of US$ 1235/ton to US$ 1240/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 6610/ton to RMB 6660/ton.

In the US market, Ethylene prices moved up and were quoted in the range of 72.50 cents/pound to 73.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept unchanged in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1150/ton and € 910/ton, respectively.
