Turkish textile machinery and equipment fair - Kahramanmaras Textile Machineries Fair (KTM 2014) will be held from October 23-25, 2014.

Around 250 exhibitors from 22 countries will be displaying their latest technologies to Anatolian textile manufacturers.

The organisers say globally renowned textile machinery and equipment brands will display their latest products and spares for spinning, knitting, weaving and laboratory.

The fair which will have a theme of “Textile Returns to its Homeland”, aims at strengthening the position of Kahramanmaras in the textile industry.

There will be around 42 presentations on different fields of textile, besides, a fashion show on denim fabrics will be organised during the event.

Organisers inform that, following massive textile investments in and around Kahramanmaras, KTM 2014 has attracted attention of many textile machinery and equipment producers.

While machine manufacturers consider KTM 2014 as a unique opportunity to introduce their products directly to end-users, textile manufacturers are pleased that they will be able to view new technologies.

Apart from textile manufacturers in the Kahramanmaras region, the fair will bring together investors from such cities as Gaziantep, Adana, Nigde, Kayseri, Malatya, Adiyaman, Osmaniye and Sanliurfa.

National Cotton Council of America, Istanbul Textile and Raw Material Exporters’ Association (ITHIB) and Mediterranean Textile and Raw Material Exporters’ Association (ATHIB) are supporting the fair.

Ismail Gülle, Chairman of ITHIB said “KTM 2014 is of great importance for the textile sector cluster in Kahramanmaras. We decided to support this fair by considering that we should be present in a region where export is intense.”

“KTM 2014 will provide the textile sector with the opportunity of seeing new technological changes and innovations in textile machinery”, he added.

ÜmitVural, member of the Governing Board of ECR Fair Organisation said, “The fact that the fair is supported by ITHIB and ATHIB will contribute significantly to its international recognition.” (AR)
