Asia benzene prices firm up from improved demand last week

During last week, Asian benzene market was firm and prices went up due to improved downstream demand coupled with the strong upstream energy value and also from high downstream product prices.

In the last week ending 19th Sept, Korean average prices rose and were assessed in the range of US$ 1205/ton to US$ 1210/ton, as compared to US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1205/ton in the previous week ending 12th Sept.

In Japan, average benzene prices also grew and were assessed in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1215/ton last week against US$ 1205/ton to US$ 1210/ton in its previous week.

In Indian market, average prices too went up and were assessed in the range of US$ 1215/ton to US$ 1220/ton last week versus US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1215/ton in its previous week.
