Taiwanese firms to display cutting edge textiles in India

The Taiwan textile industry is hosting two fairs in India, which will showcase cutting edge innovative and high performance functional textiles to Indian apparel manufacturers.
The first of the fairs held under the banner of Taiwan Textile Fairs South Asia will be held in New Delhi at the Le Merdian Hotel from November 18-19 and the second in Bengaluru at The Oberoi from November 21-22.
The highly successful Taiwan Textile Fairs brings together leading suppliers of textiles and related products from Taiwan, one of the world’s largest textiles exporting countries to India.
Taiwan is considered a world leader in research, development & manufacturing of fabric and garment accessories.
Organisers of Taiwan Textile Fairs say these two fairs will introduce Indian manufacturers to new product categories to develop for the growing demand in the domestic as well as export market.
The fairs will showcase a wide range of high performance and innovative textile products from knitted fabrics, functional fabrics, woven fabrics, polyester fabrics, raschel, jacquardtronic and textronic laces.
They will also display textile auxiliaries, leather auxiliaries, nature industrial cleaner, heat transfer label, reflective transfer label, active-casual fabric, texture fabric, double knit fleece fabric and many more.
The 2013 edition of Taiwan Textile Fairs in South Asia was very successful with over 650 buyers attending the two fairs also held in New Delhi and Bengaluru.
Ms. Mellissa Wang, Director, Taiwan Textile Federation said, “We are happy with the response and the number of buyers who visited our 2013 show and which confirms the strong potential”.
Organised by the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) and Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF), the fair is supported by leading textile associations of India like Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) and Textile Exporters Association (TEA). (AR)
