MEG prices dip in Southeast Asia; climb up in China

Paraxylene (PX) prices went up in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1255/ton to US$ 1260ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices rose and were quoted at US$ 1235/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market shot up and were assessed in the range of US$ 1235/ton to US$ 1240/ton.
 
PTA prices remained stable in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices kept steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 910/ton to US$ 915/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices remained unchanged and were offered at US$ 890/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 885/ton to US$ 890/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices kept stable and were offered in the range of RMB 6545/ton to RMB 6595/ton.
 
Ethylene prices kept inert in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1510/ton to US$ 1515/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices stayed steady and were quoted at US$ 1515/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices inched down and were quoted in the range of 71.50 cents/pound to 72.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept stable in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1120/ton and € 910/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices decreased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 895/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices moved up and were offered in the range of US$ 890/ton to US$ 895/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices climbed up and were assessed in the range of RMB 6465/ton to RMB 6515/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips declined in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1270/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1290/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1300/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips’ prices fell and were assessed in the range of RMB 8575/ton to RMB 8625/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips’ prices plunged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1090/ton to US$ 1110/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1100/ton to US$ 1140/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips’ prices went down and were offered in the range of RMB 8265/ton to RMB 8315/ton.
 
PSF prices kept stable in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices kept unchanged at US$ 1320/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices stayed steady at US$ 1220/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices dropped and were quoted in the range of RMB 9000/ton to RMB 9025/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY kept inert at RMB 9250/ton, RMB 11300/ton and RMB 9700/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY kept stable at US$ 1265/ton, US$ 1555/ton and US$ 1320/ton, respectively.
