Austria-based man-made cellulose fibers producer Lenzing AG said its COO - Friedrich Weninger has indicated that he will not renew his contract and will step down from his position on Dec 31, 2014.

“However, he will continue to serve as a consultant for the Lenzing Group in the coming years”, Lenzing added.
Beginning from 2015, tasks assigned to Friedrich Weninger will be carried out by CEO - Peter Untersperger, CCO - Robert van de Kerkhof and CFO - Thomas Riegler.
Michael Junghans, Chairman at Lenzing said, “We would like to thank Friedrich Weninger for his decades of committed work and his extraordinary achievements.”
He added, “Lenzing has profited from post, especially with respect to the successful restructuring of the Group as well as the planning and successful start-up of the new TENCEL plant.

Lenzing Group has production sites in all major markets as well as a worldwide network of sales and marketing offices and supplies the textile and nonwovens industry with man-made cellulose fibers.
The portfolio ranges from dissolving pulp, standard and specialty cellulose fibers to engineering services. (AR)
