MEG prices climb; PSF down in Southeast Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices kept stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices remained unchanged and were offered in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1265/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices kept inert and were quoted at US$ 1245/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market went up and were offered in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1265/ton.
 
PTA prices kept inert in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices kept steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 915/ton to US$ 920/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices remained stable and were offered at US$ 895/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 890/ton to US$ 895/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices decreased and were offered in the range of RMB 6545/ton to RMB 6595/ton.
 
Ethylene prices kept inert in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1510/ton to US$ 1515/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept steady and were quoted at US$ 1515/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices decreased and were quoted in the range of 70.50 cents/pound to 71.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept stable in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1120/ton and € 910/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices increased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices increased and were quoted at US$ 915/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices went up and were offered in the range of US$ 895/ton to US$ 900/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices inched up and were assessed in the range of RMB 6565/ton to RMB 6615/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept inert in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1270/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained stable in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1290/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1300/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices stayed steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 8575/ton to RMB 8625/ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips kept stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1090/ton to US$ 1110/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 1100/ton to US$ 1140/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips’ prices moved up and were offered in the range of RMB 8300/ton to RMB 8350/ton.
 
PSF prices inched down in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices declined to US$ 1315/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices plunged to US$ 1215/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices dropped and were quoted in the range of RMB 8975/ton to RMB 9000/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and DTY kept inert at RMB 9200/ton and RMB 11250/ton, respectively, whereas FDY prices declined to RMB 9550/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and DTY kept inert at US$ 1260/ton and US$ 1550/ton, respectively, while FDY prices fell to US$ 1300/ton.
