Ethylene prices down in US but stable in Europe last week

The prices of ethylene decreased in the US market last week ending October 3, 2014, compared to the earlier week ending September 26, 2014, due to weak demand in the region.
The average price of ethylene in the US market last week was 69 cents/pound, down 3 cents/pound or 4.17 percent.
However, ethylene prices remained stable in the European market at US$ 1120/ton, same as the average price in the week ending September 26, due to mute buying sentiments.
