Weak downstream last week pulls down Asian ethylene trends

Ethylene prices went down last week ending Oct 17 in Asia due to weak downstream product prices in the region.

Korean average prices fell US$ 30/ton or 2.03 percent and were assessed at 1450/ton last week, as compared to its previous week ending Oct 10.

In Japan, average ethylene trends climbed down by US$ 45/ton and were quoted at US$ 1420/ton last week, a decrease of 3.07 percent as compared to its previous week.

S E Asia average prices declined further by US$ 65/ton or down 4.33 percent from its previous week and were offered at US$ 1435/ton last week.

In India too, average prices went down by US$ 65/ton and were assessed at US$ 1435/ton last week, down 4.33 percent from its previous week.
