PTA & MEG prices show downtrend in Southeast Asia

Paraxylene (PX) prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices kept inert and were offered in the range of US$ 1065/ton to US$ 1070/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices decreased and were quoted at US$ 1050/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market inched up and were offered in the range of US$ 1070/ton to US$ 1075/ton.
 
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 805/ton to US$ 810/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices plunged and were offered at US$ 785/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 790/ton to US$ 795/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices kept inert and were offered in the range of RMB 5645/ton to RMB 5695/ton.
 
Ethylene prices kept inert in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1275ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices stayed steady and were quoted at US$ 1295/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices plunged and were quoted in the range of 58.50 cents/pound to 59.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept inert in the European international market and were quoted at US$ 1180/ton, while prices went down in the domestic market and were quoted at € 965/ton.
 
MEG prices dropped in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices declined and were quoted at US$ 855/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 850/ton to US$ 855/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices fell and were assessed in the range of RMB 6145/ton to RMB 6195/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept inert in the range of US$ 1130/ton to US$ 1170/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers kept unchanged in the range of US$ 1150/ton to US$ 1190/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1200/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices went up and were assessed in the range of RMB 8075/ton to RMB 8125/ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips stayed steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1040/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 1010/ton to US$ 1050/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices kept inert and were offered in the range of RMB 7500/ton to RMB 7550/ton.
 
PSF prices kept inert in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices kept steady at US$ 1215/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices remained stable at US$ 1115/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices kept unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 8300/ton to RMB 8325/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY kept inert at RMB 8750/ton, RMB 10650/ton and RMB 8800/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY kept inert at US$ 1195/ton, while DTY and FDY prices went up to US$ 1465/ton and US$ 1190/ton, respectively.
