Asian ethylene market witnesses mixed trends on Thursday

Ample product availability in the region coupled with lower upstream energy prices, pulled down ethylene prices in parts of Asia on Thursday (Nov 13).
Buyers were seen hesitant to engage in buying activities due to insipid sentiments, which also meant that ethylene trends stayed stable in some markets.
In the N E Asian market, prices declined by US$ 40/ton on Thursday and were assessed at US$ 1220/ton, as compared to US$ 1260/ton on Wednesday (Nov 12).
Prices stayed stable in other parts of Asia and were offered at US$ 1220/ton in Korea, US$ 1215/ton in Japan and US$ 1260/ton in S E Asia on Nov 12.
