European ethylene prices down but zoom in US last week

Weak downstream and upstream product prices pushed down ethylene prices in Europe, however in the US markets, prices rose steeply from strong buying activity in the last week ending Nov 22.
In Europe, average ethylene prices moved down by US$ 5/ton or 0.42 per cent and were quoted at US$ 1185/ton last week, as compared to its previous week ending Nov 15.
In US markets, average ethylene prices zoomed by 5 cents/pound and were assessed at 55 cents/pound last week, up 10 per cent from its previous week.
In Europe, average ethylene prices moved down by US$ 5/ton or 0.42 per cent and were quoted at US$ 1185/ton last week, as compared to its previous week ending Nov 15.
