Insipid sentiments continues to hit US & European benzene

Due to continuing insipid sentiments in the European market, benzene prices are showing downward trend in the current week too.
In contrast, the US market which had seen benzene trends rising marginally last week as against its previous, witnessed prices slipping this week.
During the current week, average European prices were assessed at US$ 890/ton, lower by US$ 65/ton as compared to the last week.
Initial contract prices for the month of December were settled at € 769/ton CIF ARA, lower by €166/ton as compared to the contract prices of November.
In the US, average benzene prices stood at 310 cents/gallon in this week, lower by 25 cents/gallon as against last week.
Contract prices for the month of December were settled at US$ 3.37/gallon, lower by 48 cents/gallon as compared to that of November.
