Following the success of Heimtextil India this summer, the organisers, Messe Frankfurt announced dates for 2015 edition of Heimtextil India which will run from June 25–27, 2015 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

Heimtextil India 2015 will focus on technical innovations, upcoming talents, knowledge sharing, as well as home furnishing and textile market developments through fringe programmes.

Covering 4,000 square metres of exhibiting space, the second edition of the fair will be 40 per cent bigger than the previous one.

Messe Frankfurt reveals that along with the increase in floor space, bookings for the 2015 edition is also up with more than 50 per cent of the space already locked by major Indian brands.

“Demand for space from international manufacturers of home furnishing and contract textiles remains strong with confirmations expected in the coming months,” Messe Frankfurt informs.

Reaffirming trust in the Heimtextil brand, India’s premier manufacturer of home fabrics, D'Decor has signed on as the platinum partner for the second edition of the fair.

Speaking about the sponsorship, Ajay Arora, managing director, D'Decor says, “It is a great platform to aggregate the serious players in the organised home textile segment and helps to connect with the trade.”

Those returning to the fair include, ABN textiles, New Castle- Devaa Textiles, Premier Fine Linens Pvt Ltd, KC Fabrics, Victor Textiles Ltd, Roshan Creations, etc.

Manufacturer of interior textiles, Dicitex Furnishing has also come on board as the gold partner whereas Rumours - Ascent Décor Pvt Ltd., will partake as the silver partner for the second edition.

Nimish Arora, managing director, Dicitex Furnishing informs, “Heimtextil India helps in reaching home planners, interior designers and buyers, especially bulk buyers and retailers.”

“We plan to introduce a line of plush velvets, digital prints and exquisite embroideries as well launch a new digitally printed bed sheet collection in exquisite design and colours at the 2015 edition,” he adds.

Growth of modern trade outlets, retail revolution and the move towards luxury and premium products are reflecting the vibrancy and upbeat mood of the Indian home textile industry.

In line with the lifestyle changes and growth in dispensable incomes, the increasing consumer interest towards décor and lifestyle products will be the essential demand driver for home furnishings.

Expected to witness a compound annual growth rate of around 8 per cent between 2013 and 2018, the Indian home furnishing market is set to cross Rs 30,593 crore in revenues by 2018.

Heimtextil India 2015 will represent the entire gamut of home furnishing and contract textile products, classified into nine all-encompassing product categories.

These include bedroom, bath linen, table linen, kitchen textiles, window decorations, furniture fabric salon, textile floor coverings, walls of the world, as well as edesign and technology. (AR)
