Mute buying sentiments in European & US ethylene markets

Mute buying sentiments prevailing in the region led to a fall in prices of ethylene in European and US markets during the last week ending December 12, 2014.
In Europe, average prices of ethylene decreased by US$ 45 per ton and were quoted at $1070 per ton in the last week, showing a drop of 4.04 per cent compared to the previous week ending December 5.
In US, average prices of ethylene dipped by 5 cents per pound and were assessed at 40 cents per pound in the last week, a decrease of 11.11 per cent compared to the previous week.
