European and US benzene prices fall last week

The prices of benzene fell in the European and US markets last week ending December 12, 2014, due to weak downstream product prices in the region.
In Europe, average prices of benzene were quoted at US$ 755 per ton in the last week, registering a decrease of $130 per ton or 14.69 per cent compared to the previous week ending December 5.
In US, average benzene prices went down by 45 cents per gallon or 14.52 per cent from the previous week, and were quoted at 265 cents per gallon in the last week.
