Acrylonitrile prices fall in Asian markets last week

The prices of acrylonitrile (ACN) fell in Asian markets in the last week ending December 12, 2014.
In Far East Asia, average ACN prices dropped by US$ 40 per ton or 2.11 per cent from the previous week, and were assessed at $1860 per ton in the last week.
In Southeast Asia, average prices of ACN were assessed at $1840 per ton in the last week, a decrease $40 per ton or 2.13 per cent compared to the previous week.
The decrease in ACN prices was due to ample product availability coupled with sluggish buying trend in the region.
