Benzene prices show downtrend in Asian markets last week

The prices of benzene showed downtrend in major Asian markets in the last week ending December 12, 2014, due to fall in upstream product prices and lower upstream energy prices in the region.
In Korea, average prices of benzene were quoted at US$ 745 per ton in the last week, a fall of $135 per ton or 15.34 per cent compared to the previous week ending December 5.
In Japan, average prices of benzene fell by $135 per ton or 15.25 per cent to $750 per ton in the last week, as compared to the previous week.
In India, average prices of benzene were assessed at $755 per ton in the last week, a decrease of $135 per ton or 15.17 per cent compared to the previous week.
