US & European benzene trends fall steeply last week

Weak downstream product demand in the region fell steeply benzene prices in US and Europe in the last week ending Dec 19.
In Europe, average prices dropped massively by US$ 100/ton or 13.25 per cent and were quoted at US$ 655/ton last week, as compared to its previous week.
In US, average benzene prices dipped sharply by 35 cents/gallon and were quoted at 230 cents/gallon last week as against its previous week.
