PX prices increase; PSF decline in SE Asia

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. PX prices went up in SE Asia, where they ranged between US$ 855 and 860 per ton. In the FE Asian market, PX prices increased to US$ 835 per ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased to a range of US$ 845 to 850 per ton.
 
PTA prices remained unaffected in Asia. SE Asian market witnessed stable trend in PTA prices, which ranged between US$ 650 and 655 per ton. In the FE Asian market, PTA prices were stable at US$ 635 per ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased to a range of US$ 630 to 635 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased to a range of RMB 4565 to 4615 per ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained unaffected in Asian markets. In the SE Asian market, Ethylene prices were stable ranging between US$ 990 and 995 per ton. In the FE Asian market, Ethylene prices were stable at US$ 900 per ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased ranging between 42.50 and 43.00 cents per pound. Ethylene prices decreased in the European international as well as in domestic markets to US$ 945 per ton and € 775 per ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices declined in Asia. In SE Asia, MEG prices plunged to US$ 755 per ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices decreased and were assessed between US$ 750 and 755 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices decreased and were offered in a range of RMB 5675 to 5725 per ton.
 
In SE Asia, prices of BG PET Chips remained unaffected ranging between US$ 1010 and 1050 per ton, and some deals hovered in the range of US$ 1020 to 1060 per ton. In the FE Asian market, selling offers were stable in the range of US$ 1030 to 1070 per ton, while talked prices hovered in the range of US$ 1040 to 1080 per ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips’ prices declined ranging between RMB 6475 and 6525 per ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips remained unaffected in the range between US$ 915 and 945 per ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 925 to 955 per ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips’ prices declined ranging between RMB 6300 and 6350 per ton.
 
PSF prices plunged in Asia. In the FE Asian market, PSF prices declined to US$ 1035 per ton. In the SE Asian market, PSF selling prices decreased to US$ 935 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices decreased ranging between RMB 7250 and 7275 per ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY were stable at RMB 7700 per ton, while DTY and FDY prices declined to RMB 9700 per ton and RMB 7450 per ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY were stable at US$ 1015 per ton, while DTY and FDY prices declined to US$ 1290 per ton and US$ 960 per ton, respectively.
