Texworld Istanbul to feature SS16 lines by 100 exhibitors

More than 100 exhibitors from Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Middle East have confirmed their participation in the upcoming second edition of Turkish fashion, fabrics and accessories trade fair, Texworld Istanbul.

Due to be held from April 7 to 9, 2015 at Lütfi Kirdar International Convention and Exhibition Center, Istanbul, the event will witness Spring/Summer 2016 collections by companies from China, Egypt, Hong Kong, Germany, India, Indonesia, Korea, Pakistan, Taiwan and Turkey.

Products such as cotton, embroidery and lace, knitted fabrics, wool and wool blends, and silk and silky aspects, functional fabrics, linens, prints, fibres, yarns and denims will be showcased at the three-day soiree.

Tayfun Yardim, managing director of the fair organiser Messe Frankfurt Istanbul, said in a press statement, “Following Texworld in Paris and New York, Texworld Istanbul is moving into position as a new member of this strong international brand. This April, we are again bringing the international fashion fabrics manufacturing base to Turkey.”

“During the first Texworld Istanbul, 10 countries were represented by 115 exhibitors from China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Pakistan, South Korea, Taiwan and Turkey. Over 5,200 buyers, designers and retailers attended the show,” he said about the first instalment of the Istanbul event.

The exhibitors’ line-up includes Hemmers Itex Textil Import Export GmbH (Germany), Bombay Rayon Fashions Ltd (India), Rauf Textile and Printing Mills (PVT) Ltd. (Pakistan), Karkent Tekstil (Turkey), Zhejiang Jinsuo Textiles Co Ltd (China), Texmill Co., Ltd (Korea) and Egyptian International Textiles Co. (Lion Tex) (Egypt).

The fair is expected to be attended by fashion brands, garment manufacturers, private label producers, textile retailers and wholesalers, mail-order companies, large scale retail businesses, chain and department stores, trading companies, agents, designers, buying offices, sales representatives and trend scouts.

Also, a seminar and a trend forum, designed by Texworld’s art directors Louis Gérin and Gregory Lamaud and based on the Texworld Paris trends, will be hosted on the sidelines of the event. (PB)
