All India raw cotton arrivals touch 3cr bales – ICF Report

Mills off take is normal and as per experts, whether current price levels sustain or further firm up is to be watched and according to mills, abundant supply has created storage and quality related problems.
Seed cotton arrivals are on in Salem, Erode, Cuddalur, Vizhuppuram and Perambalur area. In Gudiyatam the price for DCH was reported to be Rs 4200-4200 per quintal of seed cotton.
Global cotton prices were on an easy trend with both New York futures and Cotlook A Index quoting lower than in the week ending February 15.
As per reports, China’s cotton imports were lower in volume in 2014/15 season. In other news, ICA organised a cotton training program in Turkey and the 74th Plenary meeting of ICAC will be in India from December 6-11, 2015.
Rain continues in Delta region in the US and US net cotton exports shows a net decline, while warm weather was reported in Kazakhstan and in Pakistan, cotton prices have weakened and as per reports may also restart cotton futures. (AR)
