Ocean Lanka bags ISO-14064-1 for green house gas control

In an unprecedented move, US President Barack Obama had pledged to reduce the world’s largest carbon emitting economy’s greenhouse gas emissions 26-28 per cent by 2025 as against 2005 levels.

“Not only should Sri Lankan companies up their game but should tap into tremendous opportunities created by this,” Arjuna Somaratna, director of Somaratna Consultants, which acted as a consultant opined.

“Companies should seriously look at into investing in innovative low-carbon technologies that will not only make an important contribution to our greenhouse gas reduction but also boost their bottom lines,” he noted. (AR)
