Asahi Kasei to show Roica & Cupro fibres at Interfiliere

Asahi Kasei is showcasing its Roica Eco-Stretch and Cupro fibres at Interfiliere 2015 which runs from July 4-6, 2015 in Paris.
“These are two of the newest styles at Interfiliere 2015, representing a world first in the launch of eco-responsible stretch innovations in the market,” an Asahi Kasei press release informed.
According to Asahi Kasei press release, Roica ‘eco-smart’ uses more than 50 per cent pre-production industrial waste material in its manufacture.
“This is developed responsibly by Asahi Kasei as the only true and unique eco-elastane available to customers looking to bring contemporary stretch to sustainable fashion collections,” it said.
Roica is the first true eco-stretch polyester based elastane, for intimate and shape wear with excellent heat setting, molding, and dyeability, certified for environmental compatibility by Hohenstein Institute.
“It also uses less energy, oil and water in manufacture and processing and an easy to use and dye that is now measurably better for the environment,” the fibre manufacturer added.
According to Asahi Kasei, its other benefits include a flawless finish in matt, deep dyed to any colour match.
“It’s the best stretch solution for a quality aesthetic appearance without any harsh sparkle grin through in pale or dark shades including the latest cellulosic blends and in world class finishes,” it informed.
“It has superior coolness in lighter and thinner structures, with low shrinkage, ease in molding, no curl and a true crease free finishes,” Asahi Kasei noted.
Cupro, another fibre on show is a refined fibre made by from nature’s cellulosic waste materials, and transformed into an exquisite super material that redefines the meaning of natural.
“It delivers its slick, seductive and super-refined message through the fingertips and when you wear it, whether in fine clean, clear filament veils, or in soft and gentle spun qualities,” it observed.
At Interfiliere, Asahi Kasei said, visitors will be able to see the new collection of luxurious, fine woven fabrics in pure Cupro for lingerie and nightwear in satins, chambray, cotton-blends, voiles, georgettes, etc. (AR)
