Karl Mayer's innovations generate interest at ShanghaiTex

German textile machine manufacturer Karl Mayer’s innovations generated great interest and lively hustle and bustle was observed at its stand during the ongoing fair ShanghaiTex.

At Hall W1, Stand C01, Karl Mayer is displaying a new terry tricot machine type TS EL, a performance-enhanced HKS 4-M and a Multibar Jacquardtronic Lace type MJ 59/1 S with special guide bar configuration.

The displayed machines demonstrated their efficiency during operation and convinced a large audience, Karl Mayer said in a press release.

“On the first day our stand was well attended at all times,” said Oliver Mathews, sales vice president of the Warp Knitting Business Unit.

Visitors to the Karl Mayer stall were from important textile regions of Southeast Asia and the Middle East, i.e. from China and mainly from India, Indonesia, Korea and Vietnam.

As expected, there is a rather subdued demand from China but on the whole one can observe a great interest in Karl Mayer’s innovations and can see customers’ willingness to invest in new machines, said Mathews.

Karl Mayer managed to sell one of its newly developed machines on the first day of the ShanghaiTex, the release said. (RKS)
