Teijin Frontier, Teijin Group's fibre product converting company will participate in Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2015 to be held in Salt Lake City, USA from August 5-8, 2015.

Teijin Frontier's booth no. MR150C will feature leading edge products, including Deltapeak, an advanced fabric that enhances the comfortable texture and fashionable appearance of high-performance sportswear.

“The exhibits will also feature Teijin Frontier's pursuit of a more comfortable future through environmentally friendly solutions that conserve fossil resources and reduce CO2 emissions,” a Teijin press release said.

Deltapeak, a next-generation polyester fabric, integrates physicality, functionality and quality to a high degree and is available in nylons, multi-colours, natural-fibre blends and more.

In addition to softness, durability and elasticity, it offers ultraviolet protection and anti-transparency, as well as snag resistance due to its dense and flat-knit surface.

Another product, Deltapeak TL is an all new, highly comfortable and functional material that achieves the pile structure of toweling.

“Made of 100 per cent polyester, it offers excellent water absorbency, a soft texture and a unique bulky-but-lightweight feeling,” Teijin added.

High-tenacity polyester fabric, which boasts 1.5 times more tensile strength than conventional polyester to provide athletes with greater comfort and body support for superior performance will also be on show.

It will also showcase Solotex, a polytrimethylene terephthalate fibre, which is highly soft, stretchable, shape-retaining and durable and since it is partially bio-derived, it also helps to conserve fossil resources.

The Teijin Group's main fields of operation are high-performance fibres such as aramid, carbon fibres and composites, healthcare, films, resin and plastic processing, polyester fibres, products converting and IT.

The group has some 150 companies in its fold and around 16,000 employees spread out over 20 countries worldwide.

It posted consolidated sales of ¥786.2 billion or $6.6 billion and had total assets of ¥823.7 billion or $6.9 billion in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2015. (AR)
