Multiple factors pull down Asian benzene prices on Monday

In Asian markets, prices of benzene showed downward trend on Monday, August 10, due to lower feedstock prices, decline in upstream energy prices, and fall in downstream product prices coupled with sluggish demand in the region.
 
In India, prices were assessed at US$ 720/ton, lower by US$ 5/ton compared to the prices at the end of the last week ending August 7, 2015.
 
In Japan, prices were quoted at US$ 710/ton, down US$ 5/ton compared to the prices at the end of the last week.
 
In Korea too, prices were down by US$ 5/ton compared to the prices at the end of the last week, and were quoted at US$ 715/ton. (RKS)
