Asian PTA prices down on Aug 12 from sluggish demand

PTA prices went down in Asia on Wednesday (Aug 12) from sluggish demand and lower upstream product prices coupled with fall in other polyester feedstock prices.
In F E Asia, prices were assessed at US$ 610/ton, lower by US$ 5/ton as compared to prices on Tuesday (Aug 11).
In S E Asia, prices quoted at US$ 630/ton, down by US$ 5/ton as compared to prices on Aug 11.
In India, prices were spotted at US$ 635/ton, also lower by US$ 5/ton from prices on Tuesday.
In China, prices were offered at US$ 610/ton, also down by US$ 5/ton vis-à-vis prices on Aug 11.
