Asian propylene drops from poor demand last week

Propylene prices dropped in Asia in the last week ended August 14 from poor downstream product demand in the region.

In Korea, average prices decreased by US$ 5/ton or 0.61 per cent and were assessed at US$ 820/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices declined by US$ 5/ton and were quoted at US$ 810/ton in the last week, down 0.61 per cent as against its prior week.

In SE Asia, average prices dipped down by US$ 10/ton and were offered at US$ 815/ton in the last week, a decrease of 1.21 per cent from its earlier week.

In India, average prices went down by US$ 10/ton or 1.21 per cent from its past week and were spotted at US$ 815/ton in the last week.

In China, average prices slipped by US$ 15/ton and were witnessed at US$ 860/ton in the last week, down 1.71 per cent versus its preceding week.
