Monoethylene glycol (MEG) prices showed downward trend in Asian markets on August 17 due to high selling activities, lower upstream product prices, and fall in other polyester feedstock prices. Prices dropped by 1.32 per cent compared to the previous closing price.
In India, MEG prices were spotted at US$ 750/ton, showing a decline of US$ 10/ton compared to the prices at the end of the last week (August 14).
In China, prices were assessed at US$ 745/ton on Monday, also lower by US$ 10/ton compared to the prices at the end of the last week. (RKS)
