MDW to cater to textile & apparel industry needs

Munch Design Workshop (MDW), a flagship venture of Mumbai based Phul Chand Group, announced of launching an apparel design centre for the global apparel industry.
Munch Design Workshop is the pioneer of its kind in Bangalore which includes the complete design supply chain from trend prediction that predicts what is likely to come for a season, to apparel, textile, graphic, accessory and packaging design.
Chief designer and CEO of Munch Design Workshop Karunesh Vohra informed that this is a latest trend. The increasing significance of design has led to establish design management firms.
Vohra added that leading and giant brands can meet the expense to establish in-house design centre but most of them do not have such financial space to do so with other important sides of running the business like marketing, expansion to attend. Consequently outsourcing to a specialised player becomes very essential.
However currently there is a scarcity of good design managers, it would pick up as the trend for outsourcing increases, Vohra concluded.
